I Wonder How Good I'll Be When...

Today, I want to share with you a powerful language pattern that has helped me and many others stay focused on our goals and keep pushing forward, even when the going gets tough.

It's called "I wonder how good I'll be when..."  For example, "I wonder how good I'll be when I've done 10,000 coaching calls?"

Think about it. How often do we set out to master a new skill or achieve a long-term goal, only to get discouraged along the way? The journey toward quality long-term results is often filled with bumps and bruises. But with the right mindset, we can overcome these challenges and keep moving forward.

The idea behind "I wonder how good I'll be when..." is beautifully illustrated in a story from the book "Millionaire Real Estate Agent." In this story, a ceramics teacher divided their class into two groups: one focused on producing one perfect pot, while the other focused on producing a quantity of pots.

The results were eye-opening. The group focused on quantity not only produced more work but also achieved a higher level of quality. Why? Because they were constantly learning from their mistakes and refining their techniques along the way.

This story perfectly captures the essence of putting pressure on the process rather than the result. When we focus on continually improving and putting in the work, the results will naturally follow.

So, the next time you're feeling stuck or discouraged on your journey, try using the language pattern "I wonder how good I'll be when..." Whether you're learning a new skill, pursuing a passion, or working toward a goal, this simple phrase can help keep you motivated and focused on the journey ahead.

Remember, greatness isn't achieved overnight. It takes time, effort, and dedication. But by embracing the journey and staying committed to continuous improvement, you'll be amazed at how far you can go.

So, I encourage you to adopt this powerful language pattern and keep pushing forward. I wonder how good you'll be when you do!
